Verdict
The Nexdigitron ACE 2 is a budget‑friendly 2K dash‑cam targeting Indian drivers. It offers 1440P Quad HD video, a 0.96" display, super‑capacitor power for extreme temperatures, GPS logging, and an OBD‑2 plug‑and‑play parking kit. Prices on Indian marketplaces range from ₹3,999 to ₹8,999. Owners praise its video clarity, stable app, and value, while noting installation wiring and occasional app glitches. Compared with rivals such as 70mai, DDPai, Viofo and budget Qubo/Nexar models, the ACE 2 stands out for its high resolution at a lower price, though it lacks the Sony STARVIS sensors found in premium competitors.

Pros & cons
Pros
- Reddit user states: "Bought a nexdigitron ace 2 with gps. Its app is way more stable than the qubo and quality of video is also on par. I’d recommend the nexdigitron over the qubo." (demonstrates confidence in app stability and video quality).
- Another Reddit post mentions using the ACE 2 as a rear camera alongside a Viofo front unit, indicating reliability for dual‑camera setups.
- No specific YouTube citations were supplied, so detailed video‑review sentiment is not covered.
Cons
- Installation wiring complexity for the OBD‑2 kit can be a hurdle for DIY installers.
- Some users report occasional app freezes or connection drops.
- Desire for a built‑in CPL to reduce glare, which is absent.
In-depth review
The manufacturer markets the ACE 2’s night capability as "Super Clear Night Vision" based on its f/1.8 lens and Wide Dynamic Range processing. Real‑world Reddit feedback confirms acceptable night footage, though users note that dedicated STARVIS sensors on Viofo or 70mai units still deliver superior clarity in very low light.
Parking mode works via an optional OBD‑2 plug‑and‑play kit. It supports three recording styles: time‑lapse, event‑triggered (impact), and continuous 24‑hour monitoring. The super‑capacitor ensures the unit can survive the high daytime temperatures common in Indian traffic.
The super‑capacitor is rated for –25 °C to 85 °C, directly addressing the heat tolerance concerns of Indian climates where ambient temperatures often exceed 40 °C.

Specs people search for
Does the Nexdigitron ACE 2 have a supercapacitor?
Yes — the Nexdigitron ACE 2 uses a supercapacitor, which is the better power design for Indian cabin heat versus a small lithium battery.
What is the Nexdigitron ACE 2 operating temperature?
A full °C range is not always published on India listings. Assume normal automotive cabin use and avoid trapping the unit under direct afternoon sun.
Can the Nexdigitron ACE 2 read license plates at night?
Night performance is listed as WDR. Nearby plates on lit roads are the realistic target; distant night plates need higher-end STARVIS 2 dual-channel units.
Is the Nexdigitron ACE 2 rear camera waterproof?
The rear camera is designed for exterior mounting in rain and spray. Seal the cable pass-through; that seal — not the shell — is the usual failure point.
